Mali: Inflation will slow down, projections show
Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has said that the projections for this year show that inflation will slow down.
He told the Kurir daily that „the fact that inflation in December was at the same level as in November is encouraging“.
„Unfortunately, we could not avoid imported inflation, but we made moves to mitigate the impact of this important economic factor on the lives of citizens,“ he said.
According to him, the government is „fighting the meltdown“ of the goals achieved so far by increasing salaries and pensions.
Year-on-year inflation was 15.1 percent in December, the same as in November, and the average annual inflation in 2022 was 11.9 percent, the National Bank of Serbia recently announced.
