DELTA strain of the coronavirus confirmed in Serbia
The Ministry of Health announced that the delta variant of the coronavirus was discovered in Serbia in two citizens of our country, who recently returned from abroad.
Both patients are of young age. They are currently in a stable general condition. They have not been inoculated.
The sequencing was done at the Specialist Veterinary Institute in Kraljevo, the Ministry announced.
The delta variant of the coronavirus was first discovered in India and is considered 50 to 60 percent more contagious than the dominant strain.
