50% of Politika daily sold to owner of Vecernje Novosti

Businessman Miroslav Bogicevic has sold 50% of his stake in the company Politika novine i magazini to Boban Rajic, the owner of Novosti, Bogicevic confirmed for Nova.rs.

“It is all done, but not yet technically. The buyers are the Rajic brothers. There were two other offers, but I decided on them anyway. They were the most interested and the offer was the best. They also made a commitment to invest in ‘Politika’,“ said Bogicevic, who also owns MB Farmakom.

He stated that he trusted them and that he had worked with them for more than 20 years.

Asked whether the purchase contract will be signed by Boban Rajic, the owner of Novosti, he replied in the affirmative.

„Boban Rajic will sign the purchase contract,“ Bogicevic said, and when asked if the contract would specify some obligations of the new owner, he said „no“.

“There are no obligations in the contract, but there are obligations to invest in Politika. They want to invest, they have convinced me. I trust them, they have never lied to me,“ he said. Asked if he sold Politika for eight million euros, he said he could not talk about it.
