Vesic announces construction of new Smoki factory in Belgrade

Today, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic attended the signing of the agreement on the extension of cooperation between Arena and Atlantic Stark and, on that occasion, he announced a new investment of Atlantic Group in Belgrade – the Smoki factory.

The contract was signed by Goran Grbovic, Director of Arena, and Neven Vrankovic, Vice President of the Atlantic Group for corporate activities.

The event was also attended by Emil Tedeschi, Chairman of the Management Board of the Atlantic Group, Zoran Daljevic, Director of the Representative Office of the Atlantic Group for Serbia and Marko Njavro, CEO of Atlantic Stark.

Vesic thanked the company for not interrupting the cooperation with Arena, even when the facility was in the covid system. Therefore, today there was no dilemma about signing the extension of cooperation, Vesic pointed out.

“The company has always been with Arena, even when it was difficult, so Belgrade is a reliable and a good partner and we are grateful to them for investing in our country. I hope they will invest even more. I especially want to thank them for building a new factory in Belgrade, and it will be the Smoki factory. It is a Serbian brand, and thanks to the Atlantic Group, which is a powerful regional company, Smoki is also a Balkan and regional brand. We will back them up, just as we back up every investor because we want to help them realize their investments as soon as possible,“ said Vesic.

The Deputy Mayor also pointed out the connection between the two nations, emphasizing that we should continue to cooperate and create additional value.

„By continuing cooperation with Arena and building a new factory, the company shows that it remains committed to Belgrade, which is the most important thing for us,“ Vesic said.
