Trains only from “Prokop”

Railway traffic at the Belgrade Main railway station will be completely suspended as of July 1^st and will be re-routed to the Belgrade Centre – “Prokop” station.

According to official statement by the enterprise “Infrastruktura zeleznice Srbije”, starting from July 1^st the official railway station Belgrade Main is being abolished, and main station for departures and arrivals of trains in both international and domestic railway transportation will be “Prokop.”

Thus, the Belgrade Main railway station in downtown Belgrade has stopped working after 134 years.

Building of the Belgrade Main railway station, built back in 1884, will become a museum of history of the Serbian state and its origins

As of July 1^st 195 trains will use Belgrade Centre station on daily basis, namely 16 international, 56 local and long-distance, 90 trains using the “BG VOZ” route between Batajnica and Ovca and 33 trains on the “BG VOZ” route between Belgrade Centre and Resnik.
