This year’s Kopaonik Business Forum will gather „the most prominent“ names of the global economy

This year’s 26th Kopaonik Business Forum will gather the most important names of the global economy, among which are the World Bank’s Country Director for the Western Balkans Region (WB) Linda Van Gelder, the Regional Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Thomas Lubeck and the Head of the IMF Office to Serbia Sebastian Sosa.

„The macroeconomic conditions in Serbia have improved remarkably in the last three years. From now on, the main challenge within economy policy will be to maintain this macro-stability and fully implement reforms that are necessary in order to resolve the problem of basic structural disadvantages of the Serbian economy. Full implementation of the structural reform plan will be crucial in order to secure greater, more sustainable and inclusive growth in the country,“ said the Head of the IMF Office to Serbia Sebastian Sosa prior to his arrival at the Kopaonik Business Forum.

Director-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Christian Danielsson will attend the Forum for the first time, as a special guest.

Central topic of the Forum, which will be held from 3rd to 6th of March, will be „Serbia ten years after a major recession: strong growth as a priority“.

The Kopaonik Business Forum also has its official website – where all information about the program and participants can be found. Media accreditation is ongoing and all interested media representatives can send their applications via this link.
