Serbia’s SPIKE in third quarter by 4.8 percent

The real growth of Serbia’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year, was 4.8 percent, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia says. Seasonally adjusted, GDP grew by 2.2 percent in the third quarter. By industry type, growth was 34.7 percent in construction, in the information and communication sector 7.7 percent and in the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, transport, storage and accommodation and food services 5.4 percent. The budget forecasts GDP growth in 2019 of 3.5 percent.
