Serbia SUFFOCATES IN SMOG today, scary photos from the capital (PHOTO/VIDEO)

Today, the capital of Serbia is again on the infamous list of the top 10 most polluted cities in the world according to data from the website AirVisual.

The pollution index today at 1 pm was 165, which placed Belgrade on the 7th place of the most polluted cities in the world.

The most polluted parts of the capital, also according to the data from the AirVisual website, are Vracar, Dorcol and Novi Beograd.

The fact that the Serbian capital is suffocating in smog is also shown by the photos and videos that citizens constantly share on social networks:

The situation with air pollution is not much better in other cities in our country either. In fact, in terms of pollution, the following towns are ahead of Belgrade: Novi Pazar, Uzice, Kosjeric and Valjevo, which has entered the „purple zone“, which means that the air is dangerous to health.

Valjevo is by far the most polluted city in Serbia with 227 micrograms of PM 2.5 particles per cubic meter.
