Serbia sends vaccines to North Macedonia, Montenegrins are vaccinated at Torlak

Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, has announced that 8,000 Pfizer vaccines sent by Serbia would arrive in North Macedonia, reports the Plusinfo portal.

„This is a serious act of friendship, Serbia wants to share a part of the vaccines it has procured in solidarity with its southern neighbour,“ Zaev wrote.

As he pointed out, in communication with President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, he agreed that North Macedonia would receive 8,000 Pfizer vaccines procured by Serbia.

„Vucic wanted this to be a donation, but we still agreed to pay them at the purchase price,“ Zaev emphasized, adding that this was good news, having in mind that they had also sent letters to other countries for help with vaccines.

Zaev expressed gratitude on behalf of the Macedonian people and stated that this was a serious act of friendship.

Montenegrins are vaccinated at Torlak, free of charge

Several Montenegrin citizens received Pfizer vaccines at the Torlak Institute last week, Podgorica-based Pobjeda reports today.

The vaccination was performed free of charge, and the second dose of the vaccine would be given to them in 21 days, the vaccinated citizens confirmed to Pobjeda.

According to the available questionnaire, persons who are not Serbian citizens and who do not have a permanent residence can also be vaccinated against coronavirus in Serbia. All those who have expressed interest in being vaccinated have filled in the questionnaire and chosen among the vaccines Pfizer/Biontech, Moderna, Sputnik V, Astra Zeneca/Oxford and Sinopharm.

However, Pobjeda, as the daily reports, did not receive a response from the Torlak Sera and Vaccine Institute whether it was true that Montenegrin citizens were vaccinated jumping the queue last week.
