    Serbia attracts Arab tourists with LUXURY

    Tourists from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) seek a dose of luxury when choosing a destination, in Serbia they are attracted by Kopaonik and other attractive destinations, and the construction of Belgrade Waterfront and the arrival of the hotel chain St. Regis in Belgrade will enrich the current offer and attract more foreigners, it was pointed out at the conference in the Business Hub of Serbia, held within the World Expo „Expo 2020 Dubai“.

    „In order for Serbia to attract more tourists from the UAE, it is important to include a dose of luxury in the offer, because tourists from this region appreciate it and look for destinations that offer this type of tourism,“ said Nemo Acimovic, CEO of Bab AlQasr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, who addressed businessmen from Serbia at the 5th thematic week of the World Expo, said the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

    Dubai is the 4th most visited destination in the world, last year the city was visited by about 8.8 million tourists, and in the pre-crisis year of 2019 by 16 million tourists.

    The presence of the most famous hotel chains and companies in the tourism and services sector is a great opportunity for Serbian companies that can offer their products to this prestigious and demanding market, Serbian and UAE businessmen agree.

    Director of the SCC office in Dubai, Marko Selakovic, pointed out that good economic relations between Serbia and the UAE were an excellent basis for the development of cooperation in all sectors, especially in tourism.

    „Serbia has an excellent image in the UAE, which significantly facilitates communication in business,“ Selakovic said, adding that the country’s business partners valued honesty, directness in communication, and the most important thing was the trust gained.

    At the Hungarian pavilion, the representatives of more than 30 Serbian companies talked with the management of the Hungarian national company National Mobile Payment about smart solutions in the field of tourism and mobility. IT solutions for parking systems and the project for unified payment of tourist services V4 Smart Platform 2 were presented.
