Ryanair wants to expand in Serbia

The representatives of the low-cost airline Ryanair have talked with the officials of the Serbian government about plans to expand business in Serbia, the specialized portal Exyuaviation reported.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has recently said that, at a meeting with Ryanair’s representatives, they discussed how this company could expand its operations and how cooperation could be further improved.

„We are currently working on that, but we will also continue to support our national airline,“ said Ana Brnabic, the portal reports.

This was announced a few weeks after Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, said that from the beginning of the concession granted to Vinci Airport, in late September, there should be more flights of low-cost airlines at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, reports Exyuaviation.

The Ryanair airline started operations in Serbia in 2016 by introducing flights to the Constantine the Great Airport in Nis, from which it now flies to five destinations, the portal says.
