RELAXING MEASURES? Depends on who you ask – experts or the president?

The epidemiological measures will soon be relaxed, said President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

As he pointed out, the hospitality facilities will work, but there are different opinions on whether they will only be opened for the vaccinated or for everyone.

Before the laying of the foundation stone for the new covid hospital in Novi Sad, Vucic said that two million people in Serbia had received the coronavirus vaccine.

“At the moment, we have crossed the threshold of two million people who received at least one dose, for the first time,” said Vucic, addressing reporters in Novi Sad.

He revealed that another drug against covid 19, regeneron, had arrived in our country, and that it had already entered the protocol for treating patients.

As he said, 20,000 tablets of Regeneron arrived in Serbia, which will be used to treat covid in addition to the drug Bamlanivimab, which is already in use.

Kisic Tepavcevic: “There is not much room” for easing measures

Earlier this morning, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs, who is also an epidemiologist, Darija Kisić Tepavcevic said that “there is not much room” for easing epidemiological measures during the upcoming holidays because we have “some of the most flexible measures” compared to the other countries where the measures due to the coronavirus pandemic are much more rigorous.

Kisic Tepavcevic told Prva TV that there were still thousands of covid-19 infections daily and she called on citizens once again to get vaccinated, stating that this was “the key to our fight”.

“Everything depends on us, not on the Crisis Staff, but on each individual,” said Kisic Tepavcevic.

Due to the contradictory statements from the top of the state, it could be concluded that citizens are not sure what they could expect after today’s session of the Crisis Staff, which is scheduled for 4 p.m.
