Portal tennis.com: DJOKOVIC tennis player of the decade

The specialized tennis portal tennis.com has selected Novak Djokovic as the best tennis player of the past decade. As mentioned, in 2011, the Serbian tennis player became the best tennis player in the world for the first time, and in the same year he won three grand slam trophies – out of a total of 16 he won as many as 15 in this decade, far more than his biggest rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic showed his dominance in 2015 and mid-2016, when he connected the titles at all four grand slams and became the first tennis player since Rod Laver who managed to do so. As another striking moment from Djokovic’s career, they also cite this year’s Wimbledon finals, when he managed to beat Roger Federer in five sets. This decade, at grand slams, Djokovic recorded 216 victories and 24 defeats, and a total of 627 victories and 100 defeats in all the tournaments.
