NEW MEASURES: Café gardens got a green light

The Crisis Headquarters for Protection against the Infectious Disease Covid-19 has proposed new measures to suppress the epidemic, which will be effective as of Monday at 6 am, RTS learns from the Serbian government.

An important change is that all facilities and institutions that are allowed to work will have the same allowed working hours, from 6 am to 10 pm.

As of Monday, catering facilities with a garden are allowed to work but only outdoors, respecting all epidemiological measures, which, among other things, include a maximum of five people at the same table, with a mandatory distance of two meters between tables.

It is forbidden to have a stage music program (live music in the gardens), and cafes and restaurants can still sell takeaway food and drinks, regardless of whether they have a garden or not, while delivery remains allowed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Shopping malls will still remain closed, as well as cafes and restaurants that do not have a garden. The measure that all facilities must ensure compliance with at least nine square meters per person or visitor is still in force.

Exceptions are fitness clubs, spas, gyms and the like, where 16 square meters per person must be secured. The number of persons present in the facility includes employees as well.

Pharmacies, gas stations, laboratories, clinics, veterinary units and the like can work non-stop every day, as they did before.
