New calculation: Subsidies for REPLACEMENT OF DOORS AND WINDOWS EUR 430 instead of EUR 750

The first contracts for the replacement of doors and windows, external insulation of houses and residential units, changes of heating boilers will be signed with citizens in August, announced today Zoran Lakicevic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

He said that, by passing a set of laws in the field of mining and energy, conditions were created for the realization of the project which would reduce the consumption of electricity and thermal energy. The Law on Rational Use of Energy and Energy Efficiency provides for the establishment of the Directorate for Energy Efficiency, through which additional funds will be provided for financing the project, said Lakicevic.

After the agreement between the local self-governments and the ministry, there will be two public calls – for companies and citizens

„After signing the contract with the Ministry, which will take place next week, the local self-governments will announce two public calls. One for the companies that will participate in the works, and the other for the interested citizens. The Ministry and the local self-government provide 50 percent, and the other half is paid by the citizens, which is about 50,000 dinars for an average apartment „, said Lakicevic.

That is around 430 euros, which is a much lower amount than originally announced – 750 euros.

Namely, when this program was announced, the ministry stated that if someone wanted to change their windows and doors in an average apartment of 60 square meters, which requires about 1,500 euros, 25 percent would come from the Energy Efficiency Administration, 25 percent from the local self-government unit, and 50 percent from the household itself.
