„Milos the Great“ to Pozega by the end of 2021, half an hour faster to Zlatibor
Construction of the „Milos the Great“ highway from Preljina to Pozega should be completed by the end of next year.
„We are watching over this section day and night because we know how difficult it is and how challenging it is for all of us. I am sure that everything will be done in the highest quality,“ competent Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said.
She added that Krusevac will be connected with Preljina at the end of next year, in total length of 27 kilometres of the Moravian corridor.
„The Moravian corridor, 112 kilometres long, will be completed in three years, as stipulated by the agreement,“ she said, pointing out that the Moravian corridor and the Preljina-Pozega highway are currently the two most important projects on the Serbian territory.
According to her, everything is functioning properly when it comes to realization of the Moravian corridor, and works are being conducted by one of the best companies in the world.
The Director of Public Enterprise „Putevi Srbije“, Zoran Drobnjak, which is an investor in this project, reminded how difficult this section is and how it requires a serious technology.
„There are large number of tunnels and bridges along this route. By completing this section we are bypassing the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge in terms of safety. One will be able to arrive in Zlatibor half an hour faster when it is completed,“ Drobnjak said.
