Mihajlovic: Investment cycle worth 5 billion euros

The value of the new investment cycle in infrastructure, with projects that should start to be implemented, is about five billion euros, said Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic.

„The new investment cycle includes, inter alia, projects of the construction of the Fruska Gora and Morava corridors, the Nis-Merdare-Pristina highway, as well as the project of the highway and high-speed road Ruma-Sabac-Loznica,“ Mihajlovic told the Politika daily.

The value of the investments that are being currently implemented and those that have been agreed on is about 16 billion euros, while the value of the new investments to be implemented is estimated at around five billion euros.

„For the Fruska Gora Corridor, we have completed documentation for three sections and the fourth is being prepared. We have a memorandum with Chinese CRBC, and negotiations on a commercial contract will begin next week. The expected value of the construction is about 400 million euros. We hope that we will reach an agreement by autumn and the works cannot start before the next year, between March and May,“ Mihajlovic said.
