Mali: As of January, salary growth of 12.5%, this will be MINIMUM WAGE

Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced today that salaries in the public sector would be increased from next year, according to current projections, by 12.5 percent, and that the minimum wage from January 1 could exceed RSD 40,000 for the first time.

„Salaries for military personnel, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers under the contract will be increased by 25%. Furthermore, negotiations are underway with the representatives of employers and trade unions and we hope that the minimum wage from January 1, 2023 will exceed 40,000 dinars for the first time,“ said Mali.

The finance minister pointed out that pensioners would have a total increase in pensions of more than 20%, with two increases, one in November and the other in January pensions.

“One of the biggest challenges will be to draw up a good, balanced budget, appropriate to the crisis we are in. It is already being worked on,” said Mali.
