Major police operation: Five ANTI-VAXXERS arrested
Jovana Stojkovic, an anti-vaxxer and president of the “I Live for Serbia” movement, has been detained in Belgrade on suspicion of having committed the crime of causing panic and disorder.
As the Blic daily has learned, a big police operation against anti-vaxxers is underway and a total of five people have been detained.
The police came to the door of Jovana Stojkovic MD, known as the “leading star” of the anti-vaccination lobby in Serbia, with a warrant issued by the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office to search the apartment and other premises.. Stojkovic broadcast the search, discussion and insulting of the members of the Interior Ministry live on social networks, and after the search she was detained.
According to unofficial information, Stojkovic remained in detention.
As the prosecutor’s office for high-tech crime unofficially confirmed for the Blic daily, the detention will not be determined solely for Stojkovic.
“A big operation is underway and five people have been detained for making false claims about vaccination,” it was unofficially confirmed in the Higher Prosecutor’s Office.
