Major FINES if you get caught WITHOUT A MASK

From six o’ clock this morning in Belgrade, it is mandatory to wear masks in public transportation and indoors. Residents of the capital were given a unique „grace period“ of seven days, and after that those who do not take care of their and the health of others around them will be fined. The Law on Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases stipulates fines for natural persons, healthcare institutions and other legal entities. According to article of the law, a fine in the amount of RSD 50,000 to RSD 2,000,000 will be imposed on a healthcare institution and another legal entity as a penalty, if it does not perform disinfection, insect and rodent control, does not meet the mandatory conditions or acts according to the adopted measures and does not take mandatory part in the suppression of infectious diseases and use of certain facilities, equipment and means of transport. The person responsible in the healthcare institution and other legal entity shall be fined in the amount of RSD 30,000 to RSD 150,000. The founder of a private practice, i.e. entrepreneur, will be fined in the amount of RSD 50,000 to RSD 500,000 for this violation. A natural person will be fined in the amount of RSD 20,000 to RSD 150,000 for the same penalty.
