IT’S OFFICIAL: Air Serbia gets 12 routes from Nis
Minister of Transport Zorana Mihajlovic and Director of Air Serbia Duncan Naysmith have signed a contract that makes it official that the company will have flights from Constantine the Great Airport in Nis, as of 15 July to the cities in Germany, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Sweden and Montenegro. As many aviation analysts predicted before the end of the tender, the national airline got the business deal in Nis, and flights to 12 new destinations will be subsidized with a maximum of five million euros a year. The first airplanes, as announced by Assistant Minister of Transport Zoran Ilic, should take off on 15 July, and, as it was announced earlier, they will fly to Nuremberg, Hanover, Frankfurt (Hahn), Friedschafen, Karlsruhe, Salzburg, Rome, Bologna, Budapest, Gothenburg, Ljubljana and Tivat. According to earlier announcements, the contract should be valid until 30 June 2023. The only valid bid, as the Ministry said, was submitted by Air Serbia.
