Get ready for the reconstruction of the square Trg Republike

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, has announced that a tender will be opened for the reconstruction of the square Trg Republike in Belgrade.

He has said that the estimated value of the tender is RSD 930 million, including VAT, that he hopes that the works will start in August and that they are scheduled to last for 420 days.

„The reconstruction is complex, the works will include pipes, electricity, complete installation, water supply pipeline, sewerage, granite tiles…,“ said Vesic.

He pointed out that the works in Trg Republike would take place 24/7, as this was one of the requirements of the tender, and that the citizens would be able to monitor the reconstruction at any moment. According to him, traffic will not be interrupted, but this will be the zone of slow traffic.

He also announced the construction of the opera and ballet building on the location of the present trade center “Staklenac”, as well as the reconstruction of the entire Karadjordjeva Street. „The city is changing. We are fulfilling promises one by one,“ said Vesic.
