German companies want cooperation with suppliers from countries of the Western Balkans

Within the event entitled “Fourth Initiative for Finding Suppliers in the Western Balkan Countries“ held in Frankfurt in mid-June this year, with support and partnership with “ProCredit Holding”, more than 500 meetings between German buyers and potential suppliers from the Western Balkan countries were held.

Companies from the entire region came to Frankfurt this year to establish and gain new contacts with potential partners from Germany. Suppliers from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia were selected and invited to participate in B2B meetings at Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK).

According to BME (Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. – the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics), 125 companies from the region of Western Balkans met conditions of German buyers during 2016. Last year that number was 135, and this year as many as 156 companies from the region of Western Balkans have been invited to this event.

“This is the largest number of B2B meetings that BME and the network of the German Chamber of Commerce have ever organized with the Western Balkans” CEO of BME Silvius Grobosch, PhD, has said.
