Exporting another 5,000 tons of beef to Turkey?

Minister of Trade Rasim Ljajic and Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic met in Ankara with their Turkish counterparts and requested an increase in quota for free trade export of beef in that country for an additional 5,000 tons, Ljajic’s office announced.

This is tentatively accepted from the Turkish side, and final response of that state will be known after consultations within institutions in Ankara.

They also discussed the possibility of obtaining a quota for export of beef with bones that so far had not been in the free trade regime, on which juridical ministries of the two countries will continue their talks.

Turkish ministers announced that they will speed up ratification of the Free Trade Agreement, so that other products can be exported as soon as possible in a free trade regime as well, and ratification is expected no later than the end of October.
