Djokovic owns Danish company that is developing cure for corona
The best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, is the owner of the Danish company QuantBioRes, which is developing therapy against covid-19, as the CEO of the company confirmed for Reuters.
Director of the company, Ivan Loncarevic, has said that the investment was realized in June 2020, but he refused to mention its value, Reuters reports.
QuantBioRes employs 11 researchers in Denmark, Australia and Slovenia, says Loncarevic, who emphasizes that therapy is being developed, not a vaccine.
The company is developing a peptide that prevents the coronavirus from infecting human cells, and it expects to begin clinical trials in Great Britain this summer, Lonacarevic said.
Djokovic’s spokesman did not immediately respond to the request for comment, Reuters reports.
