Customs administration „fills“ 51 percent of the state budget
The revenue from the collection of customs duties by the Customs Administration of Serbia amounted to RSD 653 billion, i.e. EUR 5.5 billion in 2019, which represents 51 percent of the state budget, Director of the Customs Administration, Milos Tomic, said in Nis. He said at a news conference presenting the results of the operation of the Customs Administration that last year was record-breaking in terms of revenue generated by the Customs Administration, and for the first time the threshold of 50 percent share in the state budget was crossed. According to him, the revenue of the Customs Administration in 2019 is higher than the revenue generated in 2013 by EUR 2.5 billion, which is an increase of 83.4 percent.
