Corridor 11 will be named after Serbian prince Milos Obrenovic
The new road connecting Belgrade and Cacak, which should reach Montenegro in the future, will be named after Serbian prince Milos Obrenovic. According to the Vecernje Novosti daily, Corridor 11 through Serbia will be called Milos the Great Highway. Since this modern highway goes through the area where the First Serbian Uprising took place, connecting it with Belgrade, the authorities had no dilemma about the name. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed the idea of naming the Serbian section of Corridor 11 Milos the Great Highway, given his invaluable contribution to the development of Serbia and Serbian society. In an op-ed for the Vecernje Novosti daily, Vucic recalled that „great people are recognized by the great deeds they leave behind, and the generations born later can hardly find the right way to repay such people.“
