Brnabic: Unemployment soon to have a single digit 

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has said today that Serbia has the strength and capacity to continue reforms and is going in the right direction, but it has to do that faster and more efficiently.

At the presentation of “White Book 2018”, which contains recommendations of the Foreign Investors Council in Serbia for better business conditions, she has pointed out that it is important to recognize priorities and to work on them.

Speaking about good economic results, Brnabic has pointed out that growth of gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of the third quarter of this year was 4.5 percent. She has added that expectations suggest that GDP growth will exceed four percent at the end of the year, and the challenge is to maintain and continue that growth in 2019 and 2020.

“At the end of the year we expect a surplus in the budget of 0.6 percent of GDP, RSD28 billion respectively,” Brnabic has said.

She has pointed out that unemployment rate is below 12 percent and should have a single-digit soon. „The net inflow of foreign investments in the first nine months was over two billion euros, which is 5.4 percent more than in the same period last year,“ Prime Minister has said.
