Belgrade Marathon cancelled!
The traditional Belgrade Marathon will be cancelled due to the declared coronavirus pandemic and will not be held in April, as planned, Belgrade Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic stated with Prva TV station. „The marathon is not an indoor event, but it is attended by thousands of marathon runners, both amateurs and professionals from all over the world, many of whom are from the areas that are epicentres of the coronavirus. Having a marathon in such conditions would pose a risk to the health of our population and that is why this event is cancelled,” Vesic said.
