Belgrade exempts nightclubs from paying rent

Nightclubs have been closed for a year, since last year’s March, when a curfew was introduced due to the epidemic of the Covid 19 virus.

They were closed by the decision of the competent bodies that adopt epidemiological regulations. That is why the City of Belgrade has decided that those nightclubs doing business in premises owned by the City of Belgrade will be exempted from paying rent for business premises for the next year, from April 1st this year to March 31st next year, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic announced.

We appeal to other legal and natural persons who own the premises where nightclubs are located to do the same. This way, Vesic added, we will help those who have not worked for a year to survive the crisis, to keep employees and, when all measures are abolished, to start working again.

The Belgrade City Council has made a decision to extend the possibility of gardens of catering facilities to be situated in parking lots until December 31st this year, in accordance with conditions stipulated by the law.
