Beginners in business mostly open cafes
Since October 1 last year, when the measure of exemption from income tax and compulsory social insurance came into effect for start-up businesses, only in the first year of their business operation, according to the new tax rules, by the end of 2018, 470 sole trade businesses and enterprises were established in 31 municipalities in Serbia, reports the Politika daily.
In most cases, young people have so far preferred sole trade businesses to limited liability companies.
New start-up companies were registered in a total of 21 business areas, mainly restaurants and cafes, food and beverage shops, flower shops, accounting and computer programming agencies, catering shops, bakeries, automobile repair shops, authorized demolition companies, consulting companies and car dealers…
