AstraZeneca also ARRIVED: Serbia, a third country with MORE THAN THREE vaccines

The coronavirus vaccine of the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has arrived in Serbia.

The shipment with the first 150,000 doses was greeted by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic at the „Nikola Tesla“ airport in Belgrade.

„It took a lot of effort, but we succeeded thanks to our friends from the United Kingdom and India. Not to reveal everything, I also pleaded with (British Prime Minister) Boris Johnson and some other people and thanks for their support and for wanting to hear us and thanks for the attention they paid to little Serbia,“ Vucic told reporters at the airport.

He added that 150,000 people will be vaccinated because the second dose of the vaccine is received only after 12 weeks.

The President said that Serbia, along with the United Arab Emirates, is becoming the third country to have more than three vaccines available, and pointed out that AstraZeneca vaccines will be available to citizens as of tomorrow.

Vucic said that the AstraZeneca vaccine was procured at the most favourable prices.

The vaccine, produced by AstraZeneca in collaboration with the Oxford University, was approved in the European Union in late January.
