After the announcement of the strike, the salaries of the workers of the Novi Sad GSP jump twice?
There will be no strike of the workers of the Novi Sad city transport company, after the city accepted the demands of the workers to increase their salaries, as reported by the portal 021.rs.
As president of the Association of Free and Independent Trade Unions in JGSP Novi Sad, Vladimir Andric, told the portal, the City of Novi Sad agreed to the demands of the workers to increase their salaries.
He explained that the agreement provided for a different way of calculating the salary coefficient, which should enable fairer and higher salaries for workers.
The exact calculation will be known in the upcoming days.
Andric stated that they were satisfied with the agreement reached, because the representatives of the City had promised that until a collective agreement was signed which would contain the results of today’s agreement, money for higher salaries would be provided through redistribution of funds within the company.
We recall that negotiations between the City and public companies on collective agreements are underway, and the signing is expected in March.
The negotiations, which lasted for almost three hours, were attended by Head of the mayor’s office, Zarko Micin, and about 30 GSP workers.
Pogacar: Great victory of the workers
As activist Miran Pogacar posted on his Facebook account, this is a great victory of the workers, adding that, according to his calculations, GSP workers received a 100 percent salary increase.
„The pressure and the announcement of a very serious strike have enabled the fulfilment of the workers’ first and basic request, which is to increase the coefficient on the basis of which salaries are calculated.“
„It was said that, if the salary increase is not evident in the amount of the first salary paid, the workers will go out on the street and organize a strike. This shows that this is a great victory of the workers, and the full realization remains to be seen, which will most likely take place,“ wrote Pogacar.
