    A new deadline for Corridor 10

    Corridor 10 has received a new deadline, thus both his branches will be fully complete by the end of the year, Minister in charge Zorana Mihajlovic has announced.

    By the end of this year will drive to Bulgaria and Macedonia via completed Corridor 10. No later than December we will have a highway in its full profile and with fully equipped tunnels, Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure has pointed out.

    Next year we will commence construction of the highway Nis – Merdare – Pristina, precisely the first route in total length of 40 kilometres, from Nis to Plocnik. The value of this project is around EUR800 million.

    Minister expects that agreement on funding highway route from Preljina to Pozega will be signed at the beginning of July in Sofia, and construction work on this route will start no later than March of the following year.

    By the end of the year one will be able to drive from Obrenovac to Preljina via highway as well, using 102 kilometre-long route of the Corridor 11.

    Serbia plans to invest several billion euros in roads in the following period. Next in line are construction of the highway Nis – Pristina, Belgrade – Sarajevo, Morava and Fruska Gora corridors, highway Ruma – Sabac and high-speed route Sabac – Loznica, Zorana Mihajlovic has said.
