Part of equipment for electric vehicle production arrives in Serbia’s Fiat
President of the Independent Trade Union of the Fiat Chrysler Automobile Factory Serbia, Sasa Djordjevic, has confirmed for RTS that part of the new equipment for the production of electric cars has arrived in the Kragujevac factory.
Djordjevic says the installation of equipment is underway. To begin with, it should be used for the production of car parts for the Stellantis factory in Slovakia.
Djordjevic expects another contingent of equipment to arrive next year, so that everything would be ready for the production of a new electric car in Kragujevac, as previously announced, during 2024.
The Stellantis Group, part of which is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and the Serbian government reached an agreement in April this year on financing the production of electric cars in Kragujevac.
