PROFESSORS DO NOT TRUST decision on doctoraldissertation, Mali TRUSTS his knowledge
A group of professors of the University ofBelgrade has filed a complaint to the Rectorate in relation to thedecision of the Teaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of OrganizationalSciences, which accepted the opinion of the expert commission – that thedoctoral dissertation of Finance Minister Sinisa Mali is not plagiarized.
Previously, a complaint was signed „onpaper“ in the Rectorate Hall, after it was supported in the electronicform by more than 600 university teachers, associates and students, notonly from the University of Belgrade.
The initial complaint will be forwarded to the Rectorof the University of Belgrade Ivanka Popovic, who will, based on thedecision of the Senate, refer it to the University Board for ProfessionalEthics. The Board has a 120-day deadline to declare its opinion and itsdecision is final.
The Minister of Finance sees no problem with thefact that signatures started being collected for the complaint against thedecision on his doctoral dissertation. „I have no problem with it, Itrust my knowledge. What is currently being done is a confirmation ofdemocracy,“ said Sinisa Mali.
He added that he trusted the Belgrade Universityand recalled that the third commission reached the same conclusion – thathis doctoral dissertation was not plagiarized, which was accepted by theTeaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
