The most powerful Serbian woman in Novak’s box
US Open champion Novak Djokovic, during the entire tournament in New York, had special support in his box. This is Rebecca McDonald (born as Ubavka Mitic, top row, second from the left), the richest Serbian woman and one of the most powerful women in the world of business, who has lived and worked in Toronto for more than three decades.
This lady founded the company JUST ENERGY, which sells petroleum products. For as many as seven years in a row, she has been selected as the most successful business woman in Canada. She opened the New York Stock Exchange several times, which is considered to be the highest success of business people in North America. In addition to the successful business operation, Rebecca McDonald is known in the public as a great benefactor, for which she has received a number of awards, including the St. Sava Order for contributing to the development of the Serbian colony in Canada, and the honor of naming a part of the University Hospital in Toronto after her (Rebecca McDonald Center for Arthritis and Autoimmune Disease at Mount Sinai Hospital).
As she does her job with passion, she also cheered for Nole with the same passion, giving him support as a fan and as one of the biggest donors of his foundation.
