The CEO of RTS is proud of finances
CEO of the public broadcaster Radio-televizija Srbije (RTS), Dragan Bujosevic, said at the celebration of 60 years of television in Serbia that he was most proud of the fiscal consolidation of the public broadcaster.
Out of everything that has been done in the past three years, I am most proud of the fiscal consolidation of RTS, Bujosevic said at the reception on the occasion of 60 years of television existence.
„In 2014, RTS had a budget of 96 million and a deficit of 18 million. Last year, it had a budget of six million less, but it had a profit of 12 million,“ said Bujosevic.
Talking about the novelties in the public broadcaster, Bujosevic stressed that for the first time in the history of RTS an Internet platform was made, RTS Planeta, through which people can watch 11 TV channels and listen to four radio channels, everywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection.
Furthermore, for the first time, as of Saturday, we will start with play-out broadcast.
„This means that we will start with digital broadcasting and we will stop being the only television station in Serbia that is broadcast from the tape,“ said Bujosevic.
For the first time in the history of RTS, he added, cable channels were made containing our digitized archive, the digitized national treasure of Serbia produced by RTS, which is kept in RTS.
„For the most part, in the past six decades, the public broadcaster was the institution of decent and normal Serbia, and it has certainly been so in the past three years,“ said Bujosevic.
