What would minister invest state subsidy in?
Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic has announced a competition for startup programs in fields of fruits, vegetables and cattle-breeding, via which young people will get RSD1.5 million from state. When asked what he would invest state subsidy in, Nedimovic has replied:
„For EUR12,600, which state is granting to young farmers, I would plant Oblacina sour cherry across 1.5 to 2 hectares with an irrigation system. The second option is cattle-breeding, as I would purchase 30 sheep and besides this state subsidy I would get additional RSD7,000 per sheep.”
