Serbia is running for candidacy for hosting the European Championship and World Cup
Serbia, together with Bulgaria, Romania and Greece will file an application for candidacy for hosting the European Championship in 2028 and the World Cup two years later.
This was confirmed at the meeting of Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic with his counterparts Krasen Kralev, Constantin Bogdan Matei and Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Greece, Giorgos Vasileiadis.
„At the meeting of the Ministers of Youth and Sports of Serbia, Vanja Udovicic, Bulgaria Krasen Kralev, Romania, Constantin Bogdan Matei and Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Greece, Giorgos Vasileiadis, it was officially confirmed that these four countries would submit joint candidacy for the organization of the European Football Championship 2028 and World Cup in 2030“, it is stated in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
