Serbia is initiating the procedure for the approval of the PFIZER VACCINE for children
Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic stated that the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia would initiate a procedure in order for the vaccine produced by Pfizer to be approved for use in people older than 12 years.
Tiodorovic emphasized for the Vecernje novosti daily newspaper that “ the big thing“ is the approval of the European Medicines Agency that children between the ages of 12 and 16 can be inoculated.
„That decision is very important, because immunization will be able to cover a group of schoolchildren who are potentially major carriers of the virus,“ said Tiodorovic, who is also a member of the Crisis Staff of the Serbian Government.
Inoculation of children with Pfizer vaccine will not be mandatory, he added.
