EBRD warns Serbia
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – EBRD has presented the Transition Report for 2019-2020, the main annual report that analyses progress in implementing structural reforms and economic development in 38 countries in which the EBRD invests, including Serbia as well. The institution reports that Serbia will have an economic growth of around 3.2 percent in 2019, and for the following year they do not expect growth to exceed 3.5 percent of GDP. The EBRD warns that Serbia must continue its fight against corruption, improve the governance of public institutions and state-owned enterprises such as EPS and Serbian railways, but also continue its public administration reform.
