Vucic admits: „I spent approximately EUR 500 million in advance, but… „

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, confirmed the allegations of some media that during his visit to various parts of Serbia in the previous month, he „spent in advance“ approximately EUR 500 million in announcing new investments.

He added that he did not take that money for himself, but that these were investments that „citizens need“.

Vucic also says that the state has this money and that there will be no increase in public debt above 60 percent.

„I did spend the money, but not for myself. This money is for hospitals, bypasses, roads, tunnels, gas pipelines, sewage. These are the things that citizens need“, Vucic said during his visit to Brus.
