Gorenje closing Zajecar based plant
Two years after the decision was made to focus business activities on strong development of the core business, which is the production of household appliances and gradual departure from other production activities, Gorenje’s management decided to close Zajecar based plant for the production of Gorenje Home sanitary equipment. According to the company, plant has been operating with significant losses for a long time. Gorenje’s management is intensively negotiating with two potential partners who would rent or buy space and production capacities and enable the re-employment of workers in Zajecar based plant as soon as possible.
