After bread we also import WHEAT – domestic grain is not of good quality

The Government of Serbia has issued a Decree on the import of duty-free wheat by 30 April at the request of millers and confectioners, who explained the need to buy wheat from the foreign market by claiming that the domestic was not of sufficient quality for their needs. The decree has just entered into force; therefore, we do not yet know how much foreign wheat could enter our country, reports the Dnevnik daily. First indications show that millers are in no hurry to buy, some of them have transitional supplies, but they note that they do not have sufficient supplies until the new harvest, while others state that they will have wheat until the new crop is ready for harvesting.
