Canadians discover WEALTH below Crni Vrh Mt.
A Canadian mining company has announced a preliminary feasibility study on the opening and exploitation of a gold mine on Crni Vrh Mountain. The company Dundee Precious Metals (DPM) based in Toronto plans to open a mine between Bor and Zagubica, the Novosti daily reports. According to the document, in nine years, which is how long the mine is estimated to be operational, nearly 34 tons of that precious metal, worth US$1.6 billion gross, would be extracted. „This study provides a good basis for the Timok gold project,“ said President and CEO of DPM Rick Howes. According to the documentation the Novosti daily inspected, at the beginning, 136 million dollars would be invested in the opening of the mine, in which ore reserves are estimated at almost 19 million tons, with an average content of 1.36 grams of gold per ton. As it is planned, the annual production would amount to 75,000 to 132,000 ounces, i.e. a maximum of 3.73 tons of that precious metal.
