WATER MORE EXPENSIVE in Kragujevac as of August 1

As of August 1, new prices will be applied to all water consumers in Kragujevac, which are higher by 20%, and the reason for the increase is the rise in production costs, said PUC „Vodovod i kanalizacija“.

The last water price increase reached 35% at the end of 2020, and it took place after seven years.“As of August 1, 2022, the new price of water will be valid, which is 20% higher compared to the previous one. That price increase approved by the founder is only half of the required increase we requested. This means that the second half of the rising costs falls exclusively on water supply company Vodovod causing business loss,“ said Director of PUC “Vodovod i kanalizacija” Nebojsa Jakovljevic.

As he explains, the increase in the price of water was caused by the increase in the prices of energy products, electricity, chemicals and maintenance materials.
