State incentives to agencies for foreign tourists

Travel organizers who bring tourists from Turkey and Russia to Serbia this year will be entitled to EUR20 per guest and EUR30 per guest from China, India, South Korea, Japan and the United States. If they stay in Serbia for five or more days, agencies will receive additional EUR30, i.e. EUR50, the „Novosti“ daily reports.

Subsidies in total value of RSD50 million, which have been recently approved by the Serbian government, should be used by much larger number of agencies this year, as conditions for subsidies have changed.

We worked together with agencies and associations and we adjusted conditions to their way of doing business, Assistant Manager Renata Pindzo reports.

Agencies are slowly getting a grasp of the process and this year we expect much more applications. Now local agents, in the event of a congress or corporate events that lasts for two nights, will be able to apply as well, and offer at least two services. Furthermore, the amount of subsidies is higher for groups from distant countries who travelled by plane to the airport „Nikola Tesla“ or „Konstantin Veliki“, she said.
