Minister is not informed: She found out from a newspaper that charges against Grcic were dropped

Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said today in Nis that she did not receive an official confirmation that the prosecutor’s office rejected the criminal charges against former director of Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), Milorad Grcic, but, as she added, it was possible that this was similar to „a woman being the last one to find out that she was cheated on“.

Mihajlovic said she saw the information about the prosecutor’s office rejecting the criminal charges in a newspaper.

„The Ministry of Mining and Energy did not receive any official document from the prosecutor’s office that the charges were dropped, and more precisely we have three complaints against Grcic,“ she said.

It is not just one complaint, but three

As she said, one complaint was filed with the Belgrade Higher Prosecutor’s Office because he performed his duties as acting director in an illegal manner, the second complaint was filed with the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, because he caused panic by spreading lies, which led to a five-hour production stoppage that cost RSD 60 million, and the third complaint was filed with the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime for everything that happened in EPS in December last year, which is why the state was on the verge of collapse.
