Mali claims: Serbia’s economic growth in the last two years is the highest in Europe

Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali has said that in 2020 and 2021, Serbia will „cumulatively have the highest economic growth of all the countries in Europe“.

As he said, this is the result of the work of all the citizens of Serbia, but partly also the result of the guarantee schemes that have been implemented.

Explaining the draft laws in the Serbian Parliament, Mali said that since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, the state of Serbia had reacted quickly and efficiently with a total of more than eight billion euros in order to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic.

He said that one program of economic assistance was realized in 2020, two were realized this year, and part of those programs was a guarantee scheme that enabled the state to guarantee for loans given by banks to companies.
